How La Resistance! works:
This deck is a fun little Destruction Deck that I've been wanting to create for awhile. The odd part of this Destruction Deck is that it does all of it's destroying in one blow, with a big combo, as opposed to other Destruction Decks that usually slowly pick away and destroy bit by bit.
The combo requires the Oppressed People, the Fleeing People, and the United Resistance(for simplicity, all 3 of these monsters will be collectively known as the "Resistance Members") to all be in play, face-up. When they are all in play, you can activate Strong Revolution during your Main Phase, which will destroy not only every card on your opponent's field, but their entire hand as well. In one quick blow, your opponent has no cards in play and none in his or her hand. After this, the goal would be to attack with Eight Giant Crows and the Resistance Members, which will deny them the ability to draw cards and eventually kill them.
However, this can be slightly difficult to do, because except for the Oppressed People, which have a Defense Value of 2000, the Resistance Members have pathetically low attack and defense values. To help keep them, and yourself, alive, there are many cards in this deck that deny your opponent the chance to attack.
Swords of Light is in the deck, and Iron Cage of Nightmares is like a 2-turn Swords of Light for both players. Iron Demon Viser Death can also prevent your opponent from attacking for 3 turns. Finally, there is a combo in this deck. By using DNA Operation and Dragon-Sealing Pot, all monsters can become Dragons, and get locked in Defense Position. Finally, there are 3 Saint Magicians so that you can play these defensive Magic cards again after they're gone.
When you have pulled-off the combo, there are 3 Hurricanes in the deck to bounce these cards back to your hand so that you can attack. Additionally, Hurricane can be used to put Swords of Light and Iron Cage of Nightmares back in your hand to be used again, keeping you alive until you can pull off the combo.
Also, there are a few quick ways to get out the Resistance Members. Raise Dead and Early Burial can special summon them from the Graveyard, and Blood Offering will allow you to play them all in a single turn, making short work of your opponent.
Obviously, this deck's support theme is defense. A Counter-Trap could devestate this deck's combo, and because of this you should keep in mind that there is a second way to defeat your opponent. This deck has the ability to stall, and that means that you can probably survive until you get another copy of Strong Revolution, or maybe even until your opponent runs out of cards.
Counter-Traps, Counter-Magics, and an Atlantis Deck would probably be good against this deck.
FINAL NOTE: This deck is good, but it is PAINFULLY SLOW. This deck should only be played in tournaments, and should never be played for fun.
