This week we're going to try something different in the world of combos...we're going to take a single, combo-ready card, and divulge to you all the combos that can be associated with it. This should hopefully show the versatility of certain cards, and how you can work a multitude of cards in your deck into different combos that will help you in any situation. This will be a bit of a cross between Card Discussion and Combo Center, but I think it should serve our purposes well. Hope you like it!
We'll start this new system with a card that's easy to combo with: the Android Psycho Shocker. It's restricted to one per deck, and is commonly hailed as one of the best cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. There's no question why.
For starters, the Psycho Shocker's ability is game-breaking. While he's on the field, one-third of the cards in the game do absolutely nothing. You get this ability for the price of a single sacrifice; not half bad.
To back that up, the Psycho Shocker's attack value is just under that of the Demon Summon's. This means that while in attack position, it takes something other than your average monster to take out the Psycho Shocker.
Finally, even though you can only play one Android Psycho Shocker in your deck, he's easy to get to. Like the Demon Summon, the Psycho Shocker's defense value is low enough that a Black Forest Witch can search your deck for him, and, of course, even though you can only play a single Black Forest Witch in a deck(most likely because is can search for the Android Psycho Shocker), you can still search for the Witch using cards like Critter and Killer Tomato. This makes getting the Android Psycho Shocker in your hand amazingly easy.
Additionally, the Android Psycho Shocker comes with a nice little graveyard recursion combo. You can use Cry of the Living Dead to revive him, and the instant he hits the field he negates Cry of the Living Dead's secondary abilities, meaning that you don't have to worry about the Psycho Shocker being destroyed if something happens to your trap card. Pretty nice, eh?
To top it all off, Android Psycho Shocker is a nice kind of Trap Destruction card because he doesn't destroy Traps, he negates them. Normally, if you Heavy Storm(or the like), your opponent can activate a card like Military Movements or Missionary of Peace, and the effect will last for the rest of the turn. However, the instant that the Android Psycho Shocker hits the field, all of those already-activated abilities are instantly destroyed, making Android Psycho Shocker one of, if not the, best anti-Trap cards in the game.
If you rely on attacking to win, the Android Psycho Shocker should be in your deck. He'll make sure that Mirror Force, Missionary of Peace, Claymore Mine, and all of those other nasty cards don't get in your way so you can focus on one-on-one monster combat with no distractions. He'll also ensure that your Magic cards don't get countered by Traps.
Anyway, to sum it all up...
Android Psycho Shocker = Combo Card!
Hope you enjoyed this Combo! ^_^
